[edit]Hello, I'm Pedroperezhumberto. Your recent edit to the article List of bus routes in London has been reverted by me due to it not appearing to be constructive. That section you edited is only for routes withdrawn after TfL was created in 2001, not before. Continuous vandalism could lead to you losing your editing privileges. - Do you know where a section for routes before 2001 is, so I could edit in this information if there is any? If not, then I'll leave that out. I may restore the information I added about withdrawn school route 648, how it was partially replaced by school route 646 and fully replaced by main variant 248. - I have added the 648 information back, and also added information about withdrawn mobility route 953 after I came across an old FOI request about the route with the consultation files attached. - I have a feeling there used to be a route called 917 that operated in Croydon for a while…

- I do happen to have information about other mobility routes as well but these routes date before 2001, but however I do have proof about a mobility route called the 920 which in it's last years operated between I believe Clapton Park and Romford and I saw that there was a proposed withdrawal for the route from January 2004, and I do have some proof on the 952 which was the Romford-Lakeside route as well (replaced by the 347). - To be honest with you, I actually feel bad for the 347. This route has actually existed even before being known as the 952 pre-TfL days as Capital Citybus Route 349 between Romford and Lakeside and was withdrawn in October 1998 and replaced by alterations to the 348. I believe the 952 started around 2001 when the 348 was withdrawn between Romford and Upminster, and the route was rerouted to serve Gidea Park Station and to follow the 370 to Lakeside after North Road instead of serving Ockendon Station. The 952 was withdrawn on November 6 2004 and partially replaced by the inadequate 347 which only operates four times a day Monday-Saturday, was at risk for withdrawal for no reason when pulled into the Upminster Bus Changes when many people rely on the route, and then was pulled out after people backlashed to TfL about the route being withdrawn and is very neglected. The 347 in a way for me lives on as a mobility route, even if it doesn't have a 9 as the first number. I still think of the 347 as the 952 or even the 349. The 347 was basically a renumbering of the 952 that was rerouted to be like its days as the 349 and then cut between Lakeside and Ockendon. Tehepicbigman712 (talk) 19:32, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

- I actually go down Clay Tye Road sometimes and actually see the 347 going down the road towards Ockendon and I can literally see no one on board. It's depressing and shows how little TfL cares about the routes that people actually rely on. I genuinely think if the 347 was extended to Lakeside, the route may be more successful. I even think to a level that the 347 should be renumbered back to 952 because technically the 347 wasn't even in Upminster in the past, it has only been in Romford as the Romford-Brentwood service which died in 1990. - I found mentions of a 905 and a 912 mobility route on the Mayor's Question Time website, however this was during the time they were still operational so I am not entirely sure about these routes. - I mean I mostly have maps from pre-TfL days mainly because I like seeing what has happened to London's bus network since the really early days. I mean I have a map as far back as February 1937 when long routes that operated on a Sunday only were most common and many routes were extremely short. I also predominately have a lot of my maps from the early to late 1990s and early 2000s as well (1990-2004) as I am extremely interested in this period of time especially. I also have a collection of local area guides from around this time which showed in depth what buses served the area as well as mobility routes, which is how I have got to know about routes such as the 962 (Romford-Rainham), 952 (Harold Hill-South Hornchurch later Harold Hill-Rainham) which isn't the same as the other 952, 954 (Ilford-Rainham), 957 (Hainault-Lakeside) as well as many others. I also like it because you can just see the variety of operators in the early 1990s compared to the late 1990s when most either died or were sold off to become one massive operator like Arriva for example which was the result of ThameSide + County Bus + TownLink and other operators. I even got my hands on two mobility bus maps that are very rare to even find online from 1995 and 1997 of North East London. Tehepicbigman712 (talk) 20:26, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
